December 2005 (update)
Greetings in the precious
name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and thank you so much for your prayers and
support of the Lords Ministry. Diana and I have just returned from Peru, and are
now enjoying this wonderful Christmas season with our family here. After
arriving only one week before Christmas, we were able to put a tree up, and get
a few presents for the family. What a special time it was at my Father's house
on Christmas Day. After eating, some 20 of us worshipped the Lord for about
30-45 minutes with guitar. Many were weeping as the presence of God filled our
hearts, reminding us that Jesus truly is the reason for the season. I thank God
for Jesus, and my family. They are so special to me, and I don't know what I
would do without them.
These final 2 Crusades of
2005 proved to be very special also. Once in Peru, Diana and I traveled some 55
hours by Bus and Jeep to 4 different Cities. Our first Cruade was in Truillo,
the 3rd largest city in Peru, and new territory for me. Javier, my translator,
was told by many that our Crusade location, was one of the most dangerous in the
city. They said that you couldn't walk one block at night without getting
assaulted, and that they kill people for less than $6 dollars. That there are a
lot of gang fights there. In fact, if I remember correctly, the whole community
is locked down at night with cables and blockades stretching across many of the
streets. We actually had trouble getting in and out of this dangerous area. But
we did, and without a doubt the Lord had no trouble, because He showed up in a
big way.
Night after night, the dumb
spoke, the blind saw, and the deaf heard. Thousands heard the Gospel, and
hundreds responded to His love. There were so many weeping with tears of
repentance, and later Joy. Right in the Town Square of this Community, some of
the hardest to reach, were reached by the Love of God.
Before the next Crusade, we
traveled to Diana's jungle city to visit with her family for a few days. Her
family was elated to see her, as always. We also shared an early Christmas with
them. One day I'll share with you all about Diana's large family. They are very
special, and Diana had a hand in leading them all to Christ. We were also able
to buy a badly needed Sound System for a new Church in Cajamarca, Peru, which
was not planned by us. Pastor Sipriano and Marleny Ramos are so thankful to God
and to you our Partners for their much needed Sound System.
The last Crusade was held in
a Bullfighting Stadium in Paijan, Peru. I can't tell you how strong of an evil
presence I felt and fought in this place. The warfare was incredible! We were
literally in an Arena where Death was the only acceptable outcome for the Bull,
or even the Bullfighter at times. There was a stench of Death.
For 3 nights, that Arena of
Death was turned into an Oasis of Life. Thousands came and listened. One night
the Lord gave me a message about being in a Bullfight with the Devil. I used a
red cape to illustrate fighting the Bull, just like they do there. After each
point, I would throw the red cape over my head and body, proclaiming the Power
and Protection we have in the Blood of Jesus against Satan. It was a tremendous
night! On the final night of this Spiritual Bullfight with the Devil, I wasn't
surprised when all the power and lights went out during the Altar Call. To my
surprise, the people applauded when this happened. I think they finally
understood the actual warfare that was taking place. And listen to this, more
people got saved the final night in the dark, than any of the others. And again,
God confirmed His Word with many outstanding, undeniable Miracles!
As Diana and I bring this
year to a close, we are also preparing for another year of Harvest. In just a
few weeks we leave for possibly the biggest Conference-Crusade of 2006. We are
expecting over 3,000 Pastors and Leaders in this Conference from over 900
Churches invited. The last 2 nights will be an Open-Air Crusade where 20,000
people are expected to come nightly, to hear the Gospel. In fact, since Oct. of
2005, the Churches have begun 100 days of fasting just for this event. They are
already working so hard. This Ministry has pledged thousands of dollars by
faith, to help bring, feed, and house these Peruvian Pastors. This is a huge
event that could impact the entire Nation of Peru, and I am so honored to be a
part of it.
Yes, 2006 promises to be
huge. Jesus said, we must work while it is still day, because the night is
coming when no man can work. When the clock strikes 12:00, and 2005 becomes
history, and 2006 a reality, let's not forget the real reason for the coming of
our Messiah. The Redemption of Mankind, for every tongue, tribe, kindred, and
Nation. With all of our hearts, Diana and I thank you for your Love, Prayers,
and Support in this year 2005, and we promise to continue to stand in prayerful
agreement with you, our Partners in Ministry in 2006!
